Cycling
All regular exercise is good for you - at any age. It means you increase your capacity to not only live longer but to live more healthily and therefore more happily. Exercise taken by cycling or walking is particularly valuable.
So why should I take up cycling at my age?
Well for a start it seems that new cyclists who cycle for even short distances are able to reduce risk of death by heart disease by up to 22%.
BUT do not embark on any physical activity until you have seen your GP! It might well work the other way!
